Manoli Ortiz de la Torre

Manoli Ortiz de la Torre (1968) grew up in Belgium with a Spanish nationality. Since 2001, she lives in Penina, a village in the Rocha da Pena nature reserve. There, she experienced nature as an inexhaustible source of inspiration and decided to use the leaves of trees, plants and herbs for her artwork. She feels at one with the power of nature, like collaborating with the greatest existing artist. Plants enable Manoli to express herself with total freedom, harnessing their versatile patterns, colours and structures.
